AssureAccess for E-Authentication and More
Entegrity Solutions AssureAccess demonstrated basic
interoperability in the E-Authentication Interoperability
Lab of the US Federal government’s E-Authentication
Initiative, using Security Assertion Markup Language
(SAML) 1.0 artifact profile in a federated environment.
As a result, in June 2004, Entegrity was named an Approved
E-Authentication Technology Provider.
AssureAccess provides the e-authentication features
based on SAML as specified
in the requirements of the E-Authentication initiative.
In addition, AssureAccess delivers access control and
security policy implementation features to enable your
agency's site to deliver maximum benefits to your users
while maintaining absolute security of your resources:
- Granularity - You can protect your resources
at any level based on your requirements from coarse-grained
control to manage access to whole pages and sections
of your site to extremely fine-grained control to
manage access to specific images, links, or other
resources.
- Policy-based security - AssureAccess supports
a policy-based security model that strengthens your
application security by enforcing business rules in
addition to role membership. For example, you can
apply policies based on factors such as time (e.g.
time of day, day of week), topology (e.g. client/server
IP or DNS), or connection (e.g. encryption strength)
among others to meet stringent security and privacy
requirements.
- Scalability - AssureAccess readily scales
to expanding demand without performance degradation.
Whether your site services a small group of specialists
or the general public, AssureAccess will scale to
meet your demand.

Entegrity's Commitment to the e-Authentication Initiative
Entegrity Solutions is committed to delivering standards-based
solutions and is an active participant in a number of
standards activities, including being a founding member
of the SAML committee and an approved e-Authentication
vendor. AssureAccess was the first security product
to ship with built-in support for SAML, and Entegrity
has participated in many SAML interoperability demonstrations,
including the first SAML demonstration at the Burton
Group Catalyst Conference in 2002, the RSA SAML interoperability
demonstration at the RSA conference, and more recently
certification last year by the e-Authentication group.
