Entegrity Boosts Borland E-Business Security with Enhanced AssureAccess

San Jose, Calif. - 7/24/2001 - Entegrity Solutions® Corp., a leader in access management and application security software and services, announced today an enhanced version of its award-winning Entegrity AssureAccess™ access management software that improves user access management and significantly reduces application security development time for Borland® VisiBroker® and AppServer™ products. Entegrity AssureAccess version 1.5 now delivers industry leading cross-domain single sign-on functionality, a new COM interface for easier integration with Windows-based applications, real-time security policy updates, and instant blocking of malicious users for VisiBroker and AppServer.

Entegrity AssureAccess 1.5 is a pure-Java access management system with a rich policy model that provides fine-grained access control for complex, secure e-business applications. AssureAccess eliminates the need for proprietary, application-specific and redundant access security to be built into individual applications running on VisiBroker and AppServer, speeding the time to market and increasing the return on investment of e-business applications by substantially reducing development costs and enabling the rapid development of e-business applications.

Cross-Domain Single Sign-On

New cross-domain single sign-on extends single sign-on services for users as they move from one e-business application to another, even if these applications belong to partners, affiliates or application service providers (ASPs) and reside in different domains. Once users are authenticated, they can access applications within the organization's network or on any partner or affiliate network without needing to login again. Organizations increase security by managing e?business security policies across multiple Internet domains, improve the user experience by reducing the number of logins required to access protected resources and reduce helpdesk costs due to lost passwords. AssureAccess gives partners and affiliates access to all of AssureAccess’ single sign-on, authentication, authorization and audit features and functionality.

Easier E-Business Application Integration

The AssureAccess 1.5 API now includes a COM interface, greatly extending the number of Windows applications that can take advantage of AssureAccess functionality, including C++, ASP and VB Script based e-business applications.

Real-Time Access Security Policy Updates

AssureAccess 1.5 now provides Real-Time Policy Updates to ensure that changes in access security policies take effect immediately, unlike other access management solutions that require bringing the application down and rebooting the application server or waiting hours for policies to be refreshed before changes take effect.

Immediate User and Group Logout

New Forced User Logout enhances security by enabling administrators to immediately log out individual users or groups from an e-business application, instantly blocking malicious users from an application. Other access management solutions require a user's access certificate to expire before the new policy can take effect thus it can take hours or even days to block a user.

Increased Platform, Application Server, Web Server and Servlet Engine Support

AssureAccess 1.5 extends its platform support to include AIX 4.3 in addition to its current support for Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Solaris 2.7 and 2.8 and HP-UX 11.0.

AssureAccess 1.5 provides support for Borland VisiBroker, the engine for Internet applications, and AppServer, e-infrastructure for e-Business, as well as any J2EE platform application server.

AssureAccess 1.5 also expands support of directories and servlet engines to include the Tomcat Servlet Engine in addition to its existing support for the JRun servlet engine and the Netscape iPlanet Web Server.
